Purchasing a new home is a huge investment and every step should be well-planned and executed.
Certain years are forbidden for purchasing or building new homes. When this warning is ignored, purchasing a new home during these inauspicious years will bring on disastrous effects.
In ancient China, homes were never purchased without consulting a Feng Shui Master. The tradition still holds true today. What’s the secret behind this secret?
Ssssssh! This is an ancient secret that only true Feng Shui Masters know. The idea behind this secret is unlocked in the Lo Shu Square. This mystical square was created thousands of years ago and holds the secret to Feng Shui. The Lo Shu Square is a very sacred and secret symbol of Taoism and, of course, Feng Shui.

In the Lo Shu Square, if you add up the numbers vertically, horizontally or diagonally, the sum will always be 15.
Square number 9 is represented by Heaven, number 5 is earth and number 1 is water. Earth is defined as land and humans. Above us is Heaven and we are on top of water! Hmmm… kinda makes you think! By the way, numbers 3 and 7 gives us instructions on how to separate people into 2 main groups: East Group and West Group. In Feng Shui, you are either in the East Group or West Group depending on your Kua Number.
The numbers 2, 4, 6 and 8 are called “Movement Corners”. These corners are unstable.
In Feng Shui, there is a formula for calculating the auspicious years for purchasing new homes. If the resulting answer falls into one of the “Movement Corners”, then it is not the right time to purchase and to build a new home. If the resulting answer falls into one of the other squares, then it is ideal for buying a new home. This formula is very useful if you’re deciding to purchase and build your own home. This formula is not used if you’re purchasing an already built home.
Some of the tragedies that may happen (if a home is purchased during an inauspicious year) are:
- Destroying the positive energies around oneself and allowing negative energies to overtake one. It may affect one’s health or career.

Tony is born in June 10, 1970 and is currently 39 years old. He always wanted to own his own home. His business is doing well. Should he invest all that hard earned money and time into building his dream home?
